We’ve updated ftrack Review! Read all about the new features and what they mean for your review experience below.

Our January update to ftrack Review introduces new ways to watch video content and closes the gap between the external and internal review experiences. Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
  • Play multiple videos in a continuous sequence
  • Toggle video looping on or off
  • See collaborator status in external review
  • An improved internal review experience

You can read more about each new feature below.

As always, if you have any feedback, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We consider all feedback as we build out our product roadmap and plan new features for the future.

New features in ftrack Review

Multiple video playback

If your review session features multiple videos, you can now access them all from your session and use the Playback > Play All feature to watch them sequence. This way, you can see how the videos hold together in a neat, contextual flow.

A future release will contain an option to select which items to include in your video playlist sequence, so watch this space for more!

Toggle video loop

Loop your video to give it your full focus. With ftrack Review’s Loop feature, you can set your video to repeat continuously, enabling you to zero in on what works and what doesn’t. When you’re finished, simply turn the loop feature off.

If there’s a specific section you want to focus on, you can set loop in and out points on specific timecodes. Learn more about this in our ftrack Review October 2019 update.

See what your collaborators are thinking

We’ve made changes to the visibility of approval status. External collaborators/clients can now see the same “approved”/”changes required” status above collaborator profiles as internal team members, making it easy for all to see where each person stands. Internal team members can also see which collaborators have viewed certain media.

An improved internal review experience

Internal reviews now present a layout and feature-set consistent to that used by external collaborators/clients.
