Innovation : Recruiting 15 Software Engineers in Sophia Antipolis

In order to remain at the forefront of technology, AViSTO and WILDMOKA invest continuously in R&D. In the sort term, they will reinforce their teams, especially to help them carry out NexGen-TV, a collaborative research project backed by the French ministry and local authorities. The kick-off meeting will take place in June in Paris and the work will start in July.

Sophia Antipolis, 21 May 2015 – The TV world is changing radically. The viewer went from his small TV to multi-screen: while watching his favorite shows (on his flat screen, tablet or smartphone), he browses through the internet, sends SMS/emails and posts his comments on social networks.

The NexGen-TV project has been created to respond to these new challenges around interactive experience around TV while taking into account the specificities of the content. The project consists in the development of a complete platform including:

    • Semi-automated tools generating enriched and interactive contents based on TV and social streams
    • An industrial solution to develop specific applications around interactive TV and multi-screen

The NexGen-TV project received a double labeling by the Pole SCS and Images&Réseaux. It has been selected by the French ministry for a financial support as part of the 19th Fonds Unique Interministériel (FUI). The project is also backed by the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

Recruiting in Sophia Antipolis

AViSTO and WILDMOKA, two of the five partners of the NexGen-TV project, will ramp-up their R&D team in Sophia-Antipolis.

AViSTO forecasts to recruit around 10 software engineers (front-end and back-end) specialized in web technologies and OTT streams. The job offers are available on www.avisto.com, section Careers, page Job offers.
