We are delighted to announce that Wildmoka is supporting Michel Disdier’s next race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on the 2nd March 2018.
Patiently and persistently, the Nice-born driver has been climbing the Nascar ladder since 2007. Currently, he is the only Frenchman who has obtained a license to compete on all oval tracks in the USA and his goal for 2018 is to become a full-time racer in the NASCAR Championship.
I will tell you a secret – we like Michel (and so would you if you met him). We feel that we adhere to his story and we have a lot of things in common.
For this year’s race, he has made sure he will not only stand out from the crowd with a Tricolore jumpsuit but also with a unique car design. Crafted by Richard Orlinski, one of the most influential contemporary French artists, Michel will be racing with the first ArtCar in NASCAR.
“It has been my lifelong dream and main goal to race in Nascar as a European driver and I hope that the hard work of the entire team will pay off in March. The journey has been so exciting and I feel that it has only just begun. We are thrilled to have supportive friends and now partners like Wildmoka to share this wonderful adventure with us.”
“I have been waiting to get back on the track for two years”, the ambitious driver said.
His passion and determination to pursue his goal are absolutely contagious even for someone who has never heard of NASCAR before. On top of his willingness to succeed, Michel is a real character – and we like people who have the courage to be true to themselves.
Michel knows our team and has participated in corporate events on a regular basis (yes, by events we do mean parties. We would show you some pictures, but we are trying to keep it serious here!). Consequently, we are all proud to lend our moral and monetary support in his NASCAR quest.
Michel Disdier (born 10 February 1974) is a French professional stock car racing driver. Disdier first raced motorcycles in Europe, winning the French Moto-Cross Endurance 125cc Championship at age 16. In 1993, he won the Formula Ford B French title, and six years later, the Formula France Championship. After becoming an exchange student to the United States, with his host family living in North Carolina, a popular NASCAR state, Disdier became interested in stock car racing and made his debut in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2007. Steadily and with a steely determination, Michel Disdier has established himself in the world of Nascar. After participating in the Canadian Tire Series and the ARCA series, the Nice-born driver competed in the Nascar Camping World Truck Series at Daytona in 2014. He now feels he is ready to jump to the top step. For more information, please visit: http://www.michel-disdier.com/language/en/home/
Okay… maybe only one party picture!
On behalf of the whole Wildmoka team, we wish you best of luck for this exciting challenge, Michel!
