ftrack releases Studio 4 and early access to ftrack Review at SIGGRAPH 2018
New release increases visibility and workflows for multi-project management
Ahead of SIGGRAPH 2018, ftrack, a leading cloud-based project management application for the media and entertainment industry, today announced their next major release, Studio 4. Additionally, the company begins early access to ftrack Review, a new product that builds upon the review element in ftrack Studio, and introduces improved workflows for media review and approval.
With turnaround times for post-production reducing while ensuring a high level of quality is achieved, creative facilities are increasingly turning to ftrack Studio to manage many collaborative projects at the same time. These demands from creative professionals require more streamlined workflows to reduce admin time, giving more focus on creating visual content.
“The release of ftrack Studio 4 gives producers and production managers more power to oversee all projects in motion, accelerating informed decisions for high-level planning,” said Fredrik Limsäter, CEO and founder at ftrack. “Looking ahead, we’re excited to be adding further enhancements and security updates to ftrack Studio. To support these changes and meet the growing demands of our user base globally, we’re expanding our team two-fold with new hires in Los Angeles, Europe, and Shanghai.”
Attendees at this years’ SIGGRAPH can get a closer look at the newly available features and updated workflows at booth #1117 in Vancouver Convention Center from August 14-16.
Powerful multi-project workflows for scalability
The new capabilities coming to ftrack Studio 4 include:
- Cross-project views – Allows producers to gain increased visibility over multiple projects with the use of dynamic dashboards for a holistic view of on-going projects. New filters and attributes are accessible for additional freedom and flexibility when customizing the most efficient view for your projects.
- Refined UI & color themes – Light and dark themes have been updated with a new color palette for optimal readability and enhanced UI design.
- Localization – Beginning with Simplified Chinese, ftrack Studio is built-in with localization capabilities allowing any user to select their language preference without the need for a separate version of ftrack.
- Overhauled Nuke Studio integration – Re-written from the ground-up, unifying Nuke Studio and Hiero workflows for a streamlined and powerful toolset offering increased flexibility when publishing and customizing outputs. Artists can now publish EDL and audio to ftrack, with versioning of clips and tracks.
